Golf Tips To Improve Your Game

Here are some great tips to help improve the various aspects of your golf game.
At the top of the backswing, there are several helpful checkpoints for achieving more distance: full upper body coil, solid base with your lower body, left knee turns past the golf ball and good, wide extension with the arms.
There is always a tendency to uncock the wrists early on the downswing in an effort to unleash a little more energy into the hit. But this action causes the wrists to break, and you're likely either to top your ball, blade it, or snap hook it. You can avoid this by deliberately pulling the club down into the back of your ball with your left hand. Don't worry about smothering the ball. As your weight shifts to your left side and the body opens up, you will find that the club uncocks naturally.
Today's equipment and balls are not tailored necessarily for 7 - 8 degree drivers. That is a thing of the past. Getting the ball up in the air on a good trajectory is the first step to driving the ball longer. Many touring pros regurlaly use 9 and 10 degree drivers and drive the ball 300 plus yards. Plus, you will get much more consistency with a more lofted driver.
We hope these simple tips help you to drive the ball straighter and farther. And that will happen if you take them with you to the driving range and work on them diligently. Use them whenever you meet the specific situation on the faiway, the bunker or on the putting green and see your success happen.

It goes without saying that if every course designer simply produced holes that were straight, then the game would quickly lose a great deal of the challenge that makes it such an enduring pastime for players. Hence the positioning of hazards such as water, fairway and greenside bunkers and trees.

Unless you're young or unusually flexible, you're not going to look like Tiger Woods at address. Stay relaxed rather than forcing your back straight.

CARTS- You can walk or you can ride. When you ride you have no control as to what kind of cart you get, gas-powered or electric. Just be sure you follow the 90 degree rule�that means to ride the cart on the cart path, and when you are 90 degrees to your ball, you turn the cart and ride over the fairway to your ball. On some courses you can only ride the cart path throughout the golf course, so ask the golf shop what the policy is. As you get close to the green, there usually will be arrows showing that the cart must not get any closer and for you to ride the cart back to the cart path. Carts are not to be ridden close to the green unless you have a special flag on your cart which means that you have shown you have some disability which allows you to ride the cart as close to the green as possible.

Golf Stance Tips: After you have gripped your club correctly it's time to address your stance. Both the grip and stance tips are key to any driver golf swing tip as well. Your feet should be approximately shoulder width or bit more apart. You should feel as if your weight is distributed 50/50 between your front and back foot. Now this is one of the key points I've learned over the years that have been instrumental in improving my golf swing, and it is aiming.
